My inspiration, folks.
I really liked this magazine layout. It was from the IIDA 'perspective' magazine Winter 2009 edition. I liked how well it represented my first week back. For those who don't know...our assignment this week was to find a magazine layout and recreate it somehow, representing our first week back at school. So I decided to pile up all of my events, to show my chaotic week, and how I've had to do things from 'a new angle'.
Your inspiration you chose is cool! But I wish your overall composition filled the page more.

I do think that your color could be a bit more impactful, because Im sure the objects you used the color on are the most important? I do like how the quote makes sense..because the left side is kinda chaotic but then the quote is all pretty...nicely thought out : )
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I liked your version of the magazine better than the original spread itself. You did a great job relating your first week back into your drawings so great job. But I agree in the fact that it may have been more successful to cover more of the page. But other than that, looks great!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job interpretation the magazine ad and tweaking it to fit your style. Looks good. I will have to agree with anna that i think the color could have been used slightly different to make it really stand out but over all nice work
